An intense three-week hands-on class, that takes the student through SQL, Utilities, Recovery, Database Administration, and System Administration.

*There are three courses (Part I, II, III), each five (5) days in length that comprise Database Administration From Start to Finish class. This series of classes is a complete course in Db2 Database Administration. It touches on all the aspects of a Db2 for z/OS DBA’s day-to-day responsibilities. This introductory terminal course give the student a solid working knowledge of IBM JCL (Job Control Language). This combination lecture and terminal course is designed to give the student hands - on experience coding and using JCL.

JCL Intermediate

This course revisits the topics of JCL Basic's and extends them to creating and manipulating JCL Procedures. Participants extend their knowledge of partitioned data sets, generation data groups, symbolic parameters and overriding catalogued procedures. Command JCL abends and their resolutions are presented. Students complete workshops which require them to code both in-stream and catalogued procedures as well as to manipulate the procedure using overrides for both symbolics and data sets.
